Reporting to the Sr. Vice President of Marketing, the Vice President Product Management will work closely with the rest of the executive team and take a leadership role in driving the business success of the company’s solutions forward. You are adept at anticipating future market requirements and have a history of demonstrated successes of guiding products to be the leader in their respective markets.

Although you’re a strategic thinker, you also have the tactical skills to ensure our solutions are effectively positioned and their features and benefits are well understood by all stakeholders including prospects, partners, customers, media and internal staff. In addition to mentoring and managing an existing Product Manager and UI/Web Designer, you will take an active role in guiding our solutions throughout all stages of the product life cycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set the overall vision, strategy, scope and schedule of the features and releases for multiple product lines
  • Define total addressable market and guide how best to position products in the selected market segments
  • Determine pricing strategy and develop profitable pricing models for all solutions
  • Provide guidance and serve as lead product champion during sales calls and presentations while demonstrating the solution so it is effectively positioned against its competitors
  • Develop and guide the product roadmap by evaluating and prioritizing requests for new features, product changes and enhancements by balancing the input from all internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain close relationships with customers, industry analysts, and the media to build an awareness of market needs and requirements and communicate the company’s value proposition
  • Consume market intelligence and successfully differentiate our product from its competitors
  • Communicate with key stakeholders including sales, marketing, support, partners, prospects, and customers

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • At least 10 years of leadership experience in a product management or a product marketing capacity in a product-focused software company, preferable SaaS
  • A BA, BComm or BSc, with an emphasis on business or marketing, a minor in computer science or other technical experience is very valuable
  • An MBA is desirable
  • Experience in an agile software development environment is required
  • Proven track record of product management, product roadmap planning, and feature definition with emphasis on enterprise level software preferred
  • Knowledge of the wholesale distribution or manufacturing industries is an asset
  • Up to 40% travel may be required to attend conferences and events and meet with key customers
